9-11 - Cui Bono ? (Who Benefits ?) Oh Jesus. "Who benefits from 9-11 ?" Well, Israel admitted shortly after 9-11 that it was "very good for Israel. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/975574.html "Report: Netanyahu says 9/11 terror attacks good for Israel By Haaretz Service and Reuters The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel. "We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor." Netanyahu reportedly made the comments during a conference at Bar-Ilan University on the division of Jerusalem as part of a peace deal with the Palestinians." The 9-11 Attacks have also been very beneficial for American Defense contractors and other business enterprises that market their services to the growing "homeland security" industry. My other observation is that 9-11 has had a distinct effect on the demographics of corporate America. In short, to be an effective manager in post-9-11 America, you need to not only support the "War on Terror" - you need to do it with alacrity (cheerfulness.) This automatically creates a self-selecting group of management candidates - people who don't mind that innocent Muslims are being killed by the US government & Israel. In short, 9-11 has not only been good for Israel. It has been good for American Jews. Finally, there is the subject of Oil. Iraq has 110 Billion barrels of oil. Not any oil - light, sweet crude - oil that is cheap to refine. Oil that is cheap to extract from the ground. With oil @ $80 a barrel, and allowing $20 per barrel for extraction & refining (quite conservative for light sweet crude), there is a profit of $60 (or more) per barrel. 110 billion barrels x $60 per barrel = $6.6 Trillion. Note again - although Iraq has never been accused of attacking America on 9-11, one of America's first responses after 9-11 was to attack Iraq. In short, every oil company that has access to Iraqi oil benefits - and every shareholder of those companies benefits. Of course, Iran has oil too - another 100 billion barrels. Afghanistan is a key Mid-East country for anybody who wants to get rich on Pipelines. If you think 9-11 was NOT about oil, I am surprised that you have read this far. |
